For the ninth straight year and 12th overall, the number 1 seed Baylor Lady Bears made their appearance in the Sweet 16.
On Friday Night in Oklahoma City, the Lady Bears faced the Louisville Cardinals, for just the third time ever, all of those meetings happening in the NCAA Tournament. Louisville led the all-time series 2-0 going in to Friday's game.
The Lady Bears took a 43-31 point lead at the half, four Baylor players scoring 8 points in the first half giving the lady bears the 12 point advantage. Baylor continued that momentum into the second half.
Baylor will play Mississippi State on Sunday.
This will be the fourth consecutive trip to the Elite 8 for the Lady Bears.
