70,000 pounds of beef recalled at Waco-based packing company

Waco based H & B Packing company has recalled 73,742 pounds of boneless beef products, that might be contaminated with E. coli 0103. 

According to a release from the company, the beef items were produced on March 6 and shipped around Texas.

The recalled items include a 60-lb boxes containing boneless beef the case code is 69029 produced March 6.  Multiple "combo bins" containing 73,682 pounds of beef were also recalled marked with the same case code. 

There are no confirmed reports of illness so far. The positive sample comes from a positive test indicating the non-0157 Shiga toxin-producing E. Coli 

In the release, H&B Packing owners Rick and Benjy Bauer said, "We take this situation seriously. We will take aggressive steps to prevent this from happening again. We urge consumers to take this recall seriously and return recalled products to the place of purchase or discard the product."
