Baylor wins first game of NCAA Tournament 91-73

The Baylor Bears are moving on to the second round in the tournament for the first time since 2014.

The Bears dominated the second half over New Mexico State to pull off the win. The Bears dominated the glass and were led by their bench in scoring.

Baylor trailed New Mexico State 40-38 at halftime after Braxton Huggins hit a fade-away three-pointer as time expired. Baylor got a big boost from their bench in the first half as Al Freeman and Terry Maston scored 25 of Baylor's 38 points. Johnathan Motley got in early foul trouble and sat out most of the first half.

Winner of this game will play the winner of SMU/USC on Sunday in Tulsa.
