Waco police said that a nurse was arrested Tuesday morning for stealing narcotics at the Greenview Manor Nursing Home on 401 Owen Lane.
Police said a nursing home staff member discovered that an employee was intercepting prescription deliveries and stealing Hydrocodone from patients' deliveries in February.
Police investigated and discovered that 32-year-old Carl Rowell had stolen over $9,500 of prescription drugs.
Rowell would order necessary prescriptions for patients and then add Hydrocodone pills to the order.
The thefts were traced back to 2016.
Rowell was arrested and booked into the McLennan County Jail. He was charged with Theft over $2,500.
