McLennan’s Shannon Bogues has been named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season. Bogues earned the honor for Dec. 4-10, marking the sixth consecutive week a Highlander has earned the award.
Bogues, a Killeen native, scored 20 and 34 points, respectively, in the Highlanders' wins over Eastfield and Lone Star-Tomball. He added five assists and five steals in the two games, and was 19-33 from the field and 10-12 from the free throw line.
The 12th-ranked Highlanders are 15-0 on the season and host Angelina at 6 p.m. Dec. 30.
