Two new police dogs have joined the force at the Bryan Police Department.

In May, the Bryan Police Department selected officers Chase LeBlanc and Scott Jones to serve as police service dog handlers. The officers and K-9 Unit supervisor Sgt. Chad Hanks traveled to Tennessee to select and purchase two new police dogs.

Officer LeBlanc is partnered with K9 Blitz, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois. Officer Jones is partnered with K9 Rox, a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd.

The dogs and their handlers have completed rigorous 16-week basic K9 Handlers course.

The teams can be followed on their Facebook page
