McLennan baseball players Brendan Venter and Joe Breaux are listed in the Top 50 Junior College Prospects from across the nation released today by Perfect Game.
Venter, a sophomore infielder from Flower Mound, is ranked sixth overall and is the top-rated position player in the country. As a freshman, Venter had a .385 batting average with 17 doubles and led the team with 15 home runs and 69 RBIs. He was a first-team all-conference selection and has signed with Auburn University.
Breaux, a sophomore outfielder from Tomball, is ranked 42nd. Breaux's .393 batting average was the second-highest on the team last season and he recorded 28 RBIs. He has signed with the University of Alabama.
