A Waco officer accused of assaulting a suspect during a traffic stop was indicted by a McLennan County jury.
George Neville was indicted on an assault charge Wednesday. According to the indictment, Neville knowingly mistreated the suspect, Qualon Weaver, 35, by grabbing him by the neck on May 4.
Neville was suspended indefinitely on October 18.
