Two people were taken to the hospital by ambulance after multiple cars wrecked on Interstate 35 Sunday afternoon.
The cars were traveling southbound on I-35 and crashed between mile markers 337 and 338.
A Department of Public Safety investigator said the emergency call came in shortly after 12:00 p.m.
The officer said the wreck started when the back passenger tire on a black truck blew out causing the driver to lose control. The truck slammed into the back of a gold minivan, which then side-swiped two other vehicles.
Police said the man driving the minivan was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest for back and neck pain. A woman was also taken to the hospital.
Authorities said none of the injuries should be life-threatening.
