UMHB women's tennis closes out play at ITA Southwest Regional

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s tennis team closed out play at the Oracle/ITA Southwest Regional Tournament Saturday in Abilene.

In flight “B” singles, UMHB’s Mckinley Dockall lost to Trinity University’s Blaire Porter 6-1, 6-1 in the Quarterfinals of the main draw.

In flight “C” consolation, Hope Nash opened the day with a 7-6(3), 6-0 victory over Rean Vanderbilt of Concordia Texas. She then lost to LeTourneau University’s Lauren Rockwell 6-1, 6-1 in the Consolation Semifinals.

In flight “C” doubles, Sarah Sedory and Shannon Kelly lost to Lexie Graham and Meg Wages of Hardin-Simmons 9-7 in a second round match.

The tournament was played at four sites around Abilene. The ITA Southwest Regional closes out the fall schedule for the UMHB women’s tennis team.
