Baylor volleyball (7-4) drilled out a 3-0 sweep over LSU (5-5) on the road, 25-22, 25-19, 26-24, at the Maravich Center.
BU bounced back from an 8-6 deficit, running off an 8-0 run to take control of the set, at 14-8.
Fighting off a late push by LSU, the Bears outlasted the Tigers to take the first set, 25-22.
In the second, with the teams squared at 1-1, the Bears took an even bigger run, rattling off a 10-0 stretch to take control of the set.
Leading 24-14 with a set point, BU again had to fight off a late LSU push, ending a 5-0 Tiger run with a kill by Katie Staiger, taking the second set, 25-19.
In set three, LSU was in control early, leading by five at 13-8. With a 7-1 run by the Bears, BU was able to regain the lead, taking a 15-14 lead.
The teams traded points into the late stretch of the set, with the Tigers climbing back to force a set point, leading 24-23.
A kill by Staiger and a setting error on the Tigers put the Bears back in front, 25-24, setting up a match point.
The Bears forced LSU to push an attack wide for an error, clinching the sweep with a 26-24 third set win.
HIGHLIGHTS
Katie Staiger posted her fifth double-double of the season, pounding out 22 kills on a .463 attacking percentage, adding 14 digs and four blocks.
Camryn Freiberg matched a career-high with seven blocks, six block assists and a solo.
BU outblocked LSU, 9.0-5.0.
The Bears hit .452 in the first set, the highest of the match for either side.
