A grass fire near residential homes in Waco is under control Saturday afternoon.
Waco and Robinson firefighters responded to the scene after a fire alarm went off in a home near the fire.
The fire was on the intersection of Vista Dr. and I-35 access road.
Before firefighters arrived, people in the neighborhood began to water down the fire from their backyards.
Smoke was getting inside of the homes, but firefighters are working to keep the flames away from houses in the area.
