Sophomore Jarrett Stidham will leave the Baylor football program and plans to transfer for the next football season. Stidham made the announcement official on his Twitter page today.
Stidham said "After careful thought and consideration, I am announcing my decision to transfer from Baylor University. I would like to thank my teammates, friends, family and fellow students for the support throughout my career thus far."
Acting head coach for the Baylor Bears, Jim Grobe, told ESPN 1660 Thursday afternoon that Stidham's decision came based off of the lack of playing time and backing up senior quarterback Seth Russell. Grobe said Stidham wanted to be "the guy."
