McLennan softball’s Marisa Flores and Kayleigh Williams have solidified their plans to continue their academic and athletic careers at Tarleton State University next fall.
Flores and Williams helped lead the Highlassies to a Region V Championship and trip to the NJCAA Division I National Championships this season. Flores, a right fielder from Keller, appeared in 57 games, recording a .413 average with 15 doubles and 30 RBIs. Williams, a Georgetown native, notched a 20-10 record with a 2.42 ERA and 177 strikeouts while appearing in 37 games for the Highlassies. Both Flores and Williams were first-team all-conference and academic all-conference selections.
