McLennan softball’s Theresa Gonzales has been named to the 2016 NJCAA Division I Softball All-America teams announced Wednesday by the NJCAA DI Softball Committee.
Gonzales, a freshman infielder from Elgin, was a second-team All-American selection.Sheplayed in all 58 of the Highlassies' games, recording a .459 batting average with a team-leading 27 doubles and a team-high 71 RBIs. Gonzales was the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Co-Player of the Year, a first-team all-conference selection and a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second-Team All-Region selection.
