Rain Chances Stay High

Posted

Rain will be sticking around Central Texas for the next few days so you will want to make sure to have all the rain nearby, especially today through Friday.

Overall we know that there will be on/off showers and storms throughout the area today, tomorrow, and Friday. It won't rain on you all day, every day but where storms do develop they will be dumping a lot of rain. 2-4 inches of rain will be common, but some areas may see isolated totals well over 5 inches.  This locally heavy rain could lead to some flooding issues and a Flash Flood Watch will cover most of the area for the next several days. We want you to stay as safe as possible, so remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. It is never a good idea to drive on roads that are covered by water....most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay weather alert and have a plan in place in the event severe weather pays your neighborhood a visit. You can depend on the First Alert 25 Weather Team to keep you ahead of the storms as they develop.
