A 17-year-old driver died and two others were injured after a car accident in Killeen Sunday evening.
The driver has been identified as Jayveon Devone Burks.
Killeen police said a gray Toyota Camry and a silver Honda Accord were involved in a crash in the area of Stan Schlueter Loop and Ledgestone Drive just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Officers said the Honda was traveling west on Stan Schlueter Loops in the outside lane when Burks, who was driving the Camry, turned left onto Stan Schleuter into the oncoming path of the Honda. The Honda collided with the driver's side of the Toyota.
Burks was rushed to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he later died.
A 16-year-old passenger in the car with Burks was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple in stable condition.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Metroplex Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
