Slideshow: Major wreck involving two semis shuts down I-35
Officers rushed to the scene this morning after a semi driver was on the side of the road, and a pickup truck slammed into the back of the trailer.
Authorities believe the driver had pulled over to sleep for the night.
The crash happened near mile marker 334 near the 16th st exit on I-35 in Waco. All lanes are affected.
The truck then spun out and hit a second semi.
The truck caught on fire, and two good samaritans rushed to help.
Waco Fire, ETMC and Hazmat Crews responded to assist at the scene. . They estimate 30-45 minutes until the scene is cleared.
The driver of the pickup has been rushed to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest. We are still working to find out the extent of his injuries.
