Showers Today but Heavy Rain Tomorrow

Posted
and last updated

This Wednesday will stay cloudy and cool. Temperatures are in the low 60s this morning and the clouds are thick. We have a few light showers out there this morning and we will continue to see on/off showers throughout the day. The highest rain chance will be this morning, the afternoon should be a little drier. Highs today only climb into the upper 60s and low 70s and northeast winds, running 5-15mph, will keep it feeling cool.

Tonight should be cloudy but dry as well as the early morning hours tomorrow. We will see a system that will bring heavy rain into Central Texas for Thursday. We expect to see multiple inches of rain, on average about 1-3 inches. Areas along and east of I-35 have the highest chance for seeing some flooding issues. It will be a day where you want to keep a close eye on the weather. Severe storms are not likely, just heavy rain.

Rain Chances At A Glance--

Wednesday AM: Light on/off showers, a lone thunderstorm or two. Nothing severe. The highest chance for rain today will be this morning. Rain totals light.
Wednesday PM: Lull in the activity and tonight should be cloudy but dry.

Thursday AM: Heavy rain will move in from the west. We should be dry for the early morning hours, but around 7:00-8:00 AM the rain should be moving in.
Thursday PM: It will be a wet day with rain continuing into the afternoon. 1-3 inches of rain possible, with the highest totals likely along and east of I-35.
