A woman barely escaped her wrecked car on I-35 before it burst into flames.

She was traveling alone down I-35 south near exit 329 around midnight, according to DPS.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle after crashing it; but soon after, the car caught on fire.

An ambulance took the driver to Baylor, Scott and White.

Officials said the extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.

The Robinson Fire Department extinguished the burning car shortly before 1 a.m.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the wreck.
