Slideshow: 3 arrested for using fake $20 bills

Three people were arrested Thursday for using fake $20 bills.

Gregory Cordero, Brenda Cardenas and Tommy Wilkinson were arrested for engaging in organized crime. Cordero was also charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer.

Someone had reported that a man walked into Nell’s bar at 2020 Circle Rd in Waco and tried to pass a fake $20 bill.

The Waco Police Department got a description of the man and the vehicle’s plate numbers from this incident.

Another incident happened where two people asked for change for a $20, and they were using another fake bill.

Police finally got the suspects after they tried to order pizza and pay with fake $20 bills.

Police arrived to the residence on Gurley Ln, and Cordero backed his vehicle into a patrol car.

All three were arrested, and police found more $20 bills.
