Baylor Women’s Golfs Signs Chloe Caron

WACO, Texas – Baylor women’s golf head coach Jay Goble announced the signing of Chloe Caron to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

Caron is from Bondues, France, a small community in the northern part of the country. She will have four years of eligibility when she joins the Baylor program in August. Her twin brother, Matthieu, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Kansas State.

“Chloe is a very talented young woman, who I am confident is going to develop into a great golfer over her career here in Waco,” Goble said.

Caron has claimed amateur championships at the 2013 Grand Prix Lille Metropole, the 2013 French National Team Girls U16, the 2014 Tournoi Federal Jeunes, the 2015 Grand Prix Wimereux and the 2015 Grand Prix Lille Metropole. She was also a finalist at the 2014 French National Girls U16.

Caron finished in second place after shooting 75-69 at the 2015 Grand Prix Saint Donat and also took second place at the 2014 Trophee Federal Jeunes, carding rounds of 69-75-73. She has gained experience playing in amateur events in Belgium, England, France, Italy, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and the United States.

Baylor finished the 2015-16 season in sixth place at the Big 12 Championship. Senior Laura Lonardi is competing as an individual in the NCAA Bryan (Texas) Regional, which runs May 5-7 at Traditions Club. Follow @BaylorWGolf on Twitter for updates throughout the season.
