It has been a stormy night across Central Texas and a lot of the storms have waited until the wee hours of this Wednesday to move through. There have been a lot of power outages due to the high winds and frequent lightning. There has been heavy rain and even some small to medium size hail reported in a few of the storms that went severe. It has been a nasty start to the day, but I'm here to say that the afternoon is looking much nicer!
Once we get rid of the lingering showers and storms this morning, the clouds will start to clear, the sun will come out and we will warm up this afternoon. High temperatures today are expected to get into the upper 80s and even some areas west of I-35 could reach 90°!
The break from the storms last for this afternoon and throughout most of the day tomorrow, but our next system is fast approaching and should get here late in the day Thursday.
