Three McLennan Community College men’s basketball players that led the Highlanders to their first NJCAA Division I National Tournament since 1998, signed National Letters of Intent today, solidifying their plans to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year colleges next fall.
Freshman guard Jerami Grace signed with Murray State University. The Dallas native led the team with 18.9 point per game and was second on the team with an average of 2.8 assists per game. He was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year and was a first-team all-conference selection.
Sophomore guard K.J. Boyd of Friendswood signed with the University of Texas at Tyler. Boyd played an average of 14.4 minutes per game this season for the Highlanders, averaging 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
Sophomore forward Aundre Jackson of Kennedale signed with Loyola University Chicago. His 14.6 points per game was third highest on the team and he led the team with an average of 6.9 rebounds. He was a first-team all-conference selection and was named to the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.
