The manhunt has been called off after a traffic stop took an unexpected turn Monday.
After being pulled over, the suspect fled on foot after a routine traffic stop. The chase started around the Baylor area and ended at the Salvation Army in Waco.
The man had a warrant out for theft in Harris County.
A helicopter that was flying back from an unrelated mission helped with the search.
Officials could not immediately offer a description of the suspect. They are seizing the suspect's car.
