A Woodway family is without a home after an early morning house fire.
Four fire crews with the Woodway Public Safety Department were called to the home in the 700 block of Candlelight Drive, just before 4 a.m. on Saturday.
It took firefighters over an hour to put the fire out, but they stayed on scene for several additional hours to make sure the blaze didn’t reignite.
Officials say it was a very difficult fire to fight, because the house had a wooden roof that was covered with several layers of other material.
None of the residents inside the home or any responding firefighters were injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
