A police officer is okay after his SUV was hit while he was responding to a crash in Temple Wednesday morning.
The officer was responding to a single vehicle crash on Highway 317 around 9 a.m.
While the officer was blocking traffic, a vehicle slammed into the back of his police unit. Despite the damage, there were no injuries.
In a Facebook post, the police department reminded all drivers to be careful and slow down.
