Police in Temple are investigating after a Papa John's Pizza delivery man was robbed while out on a delivery.

Officials say the robbery happened Saturday just before 8 p.m. in the 800 block of South 26th Street.

The victim told police say that he was on foot looking for the home he was delivering to when he was approached by two men.

One of the men had been wearing a black hoodie and acted like he had a gun in his pocket then demanded money from the driver.

There is no description on the other man but both were described as in their 20s.

Police say the suspects took an unknown amount of cash and the pizza from the victim then ran towards Ave H.

Temple officers made contact with the resident owner that placed the order for the pizza and they were still waiting for it. Police determined they were not involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500 or Bell County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-TIPS (local 254-526-TIPS) callers can remain anonymous.
