JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State University has introduced Baylor assistant Grant McCasland as ASU's new men's basketball coach.
McCasland replaces John Brady, who announced in November that he would step down at the end of the season.
McCasland was formally introduced as the new Red Wolves coach Wednesday in Jonesboro and said he's excited about getting started and building a culture of winning at ASU.
The Red Wolves finished the season 11-20 and 7-12 in Sun Belt Conference play.
McCasland spent the past five seasons as an assistant at Baylor. Before that, he was head coach at Division II Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, and at the junior college level at Midland College.
Eds: This story has been corrected to reflect Arkansas State was 11-20 last season, instead of 11-19.
