Bell County Crimestoppers has teamed up with Anderson Software to debut an App that will make it easier to submit tips.
Killeen Police Department Spokesperson Carroll Smith said the app will improve communication between police and the public.
Previously, citizens could submit tips through SMS, a hotline or through the website.
But through text, there was no way to go back and add more information.
The app was developed to help solve that problem.
"Apps," Smith said. "Everybody has apps so why not just go into the app, sign in and go for it. And it's easy to do and it's so easy for us to understand it as well. And if we have a question, we can go onto the computer and type a question back to you."
Smith also stressed the importance of anonymity. No matter what platform is used to submit a tip, a person does not have to give away any personal information or identifiers.
The P3 app is available to download for Android and Iphone users.
