Hugh Shine has been declared the winner of the Republican Primary for District 55 State Representative.
With all 28 precincts reporting, Hugh Shine has defeated incumbent Rep. Molly White by only 118 votes in a passion-filled race.
"The voters have spoken and elected me to represent Bell County in Austin. My family and I are humbled and thankful for the support the great people of Bell County have given us. I am thankful to all those many people who worked for my campaign and honored me with their votes. I look forward to once again serving all the people of our district and the great state of Texas," said Shine in a statement.
