Two people are in jail after Waco police found a large stash of cocaine during a traffic stop.
Police say around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday an officer stopped a Chevrolet truck for several traffic violations in the 1600 block of north Interstate 35. As officers were conducting the stop they found a kilo of cocaine inside the truck.
The two occupants of the truck, Maria Goroseta-Hernandez and Doreteo Gonzalez Martinez, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams.
Money and eight cell phones were also taken as evidence.
