WACO, Texas – Baylor football's Big 12 opener against Texas Tech on Oct. 3 in Arlington, Texas, will start at 2:30 p.m., the league office announced Monday.

Television arrangements for the game to be played at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, have not been finalized, but the contest will either air on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

Baylor, ranked No. 4 in the Amway Coaches poll and No. 5 in the AP Top 25, is off to a 2-0 start for the sixth-straight year and faces Rice Saturday at McLane Stadium, before heading to North Texas to take on the Red Raiders.

Baylor currently leads the country in total offense (754.0 ypg) and is second in scoring offense (61.0 ppg).

Texas Tech is 3-0 on the season. The Red Raiders host TCU Saturday, before taking on the Bears next weekend.

Baylor beat TTU, 48-46, last year in Arlington, and the overall series between the two teams is tied 36-36-1. However, BU has won the last four meetings. This will be seventh straight year that the game is played in a neutral site, with BU holding a 4-2 advantage in those contests.

The game versus Texas Tech will be BU’s second on the ESPN family of networks this season.
