Five arrested for armed robbery of shoes, cell phone

Five men are currently behind bars in the Coryell County Detention Center after police say they were involved in an armed robbery of a person, in which two pairs of tennis shoes and a cell phone were taken.

Christian Brown, 17, Jeremy Brown, 21, Torrance Evans, 17, Marcus Herrera, 17, Kendrick House, 18, are all facing charges of aggravated robbery with a firearm. Christian Brown is being held on $50,000 bond, with the other four being held on $25,000 bond.

Harker Heights PD officers were called Friday night, just after 11:15 p.m., to the 900 block of Rattlesnake Rd. about an aggravated robbery.

The reported victim told responding officers that two men robbed him at gunpoint of two pairs of shoes and a cell phone. The victim was not hurt. Police were told the robbers left in an unknown make and model black 4-door vehicle.

Copperas Cove police found the two suspects, along with three others, in the vehicle a short time later. Officers recovered the stolen items and the five people in the vehicle were arrested.
