A 62-year-old San Antonio woman is dead after a single vehicle wreck on I-35 Wednesday morning.
DPS Trooper D.L. Wilson says the wreck happened about 5:45 a.m. on northbound I-35, near the 353 mile marker in West.
A 2002 Ford Taurus driven by Alice Martinez Yannuzzi went out of control and hit a concrete sign post base. Wilson reports Yannuzzi was wearing a seat belt, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the road was wet and speed was also a contributing factor.
