KILLEEN, TX – June 12, 2015 -- Today, Extraco Banks announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the loans, deposits and real estate of the Killeen location of Broadway Bank pending regulatory approval. The estimated closing date is August 21, 2015.

In addition to this new Killeen location, customers still have access to Extraco's other locations in Harker Heights, Copperas Cove and Lampasas as well as ATMs on WS Young, Gray, Rancier, and US190.

“Killeen continues to expand and grow, and Extraco is pleased to support the area's expansion with this new location,” said Doug Streater, President and CBO of Extraco Banks. “We will base the design of this financial center off Extraco's award-winning branch model and process, a model we currently make available to our consulting clients in 20 other states.”

“We are very pleased to enter into this agreement with Extraco Banks,” said Jim Goudge, Chairman and CEO of Broadway Bank.  “The banks share very similar backgrounds and operating philosophy, and I am confident that our Killeen banking center customers and staff are in very capable hands.”

Once the new location is open, Extraco will eventually consolidate its current Killeen financial center operations into this location. The new location is less than one mile from the current Killeen location and has convenient access off US190. It will offer the same services and amenities as Extraco's other financial centers, such as a deposit ATM, video screens in the drive-thru lanes, and in-branch access to eBank online banking.

“Extraco has a 112 year history in central Texas of innovation, financial soundness, and commitment to our customers and community,” continued Streater. “What we're doing right now is laying the ground work for tomorrow, because we plan to be around for the next 100 years, too.”
