An 86-year-old Clifton man is dead following a wreck in Hill County Thursday afternoon.
The wreck happened just before 2:30 p.m. near Private Road 222 and Hwy 22, east of Lake Whitney Dam, in Hill County.
DPS Trooper D.L. Wilson reports the wreck happened when a 2007 Mini Cooper heading west on Hwy 22 crossed over the center stripe.
The Mini Cooper side swiped a 1995 GMC pickup that was traveling east. The Mini Cooper then hit a 2010 Toyota Tundra that was behind the GMC, nearly head-on.
The driver of the Mini Cooper, identified as well-known local attorney Charles Milton McDonald, was killed on impact. The driver of the GMC had no reported injuries and the driver of the Tundra had non-life threatening injuries, with a teenage passenger also having minor injuries. Both were taken to Scott & White Hillcrest.
DPS is still investigating the crash.
