Three armed suspects are on the loose after they held a family hostage and robbed them in broad daylight Thursday morning. Bellmead police were called to the home in the 3600 block of Harrison St., just after 8:30 a.m.

Detective Kory Martin says a family of four was home when three masked men, armed with guns, came inside. The suspects held the family at gunpoint as they stole items from the house. Police have not specifically said what was stolen.

No one was hurt, but at least one child was involved in the incident. The family says they don't know who robbed them. Police aren't sure what type of vehicle the robbers were driving or if they fled on foot.

The suspects were identified as three men, likely in their 20's. Their faces were covered with bandannas. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Bellmead police at (254) 799-0251.
