Missing Temple man killed in Williamson County flooding

A Temple man, who was reported missing May 21, died as a result of the flooding in Williamson County, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

55-year-old Jerry D. Booth was listed as missing by the Temple Police Department Thursday night at approximately 11 p.m.

His family said their last contact with him was on Thursday morning between 5 and 6 a.m.

He was traveling to Georgetown on CR 143.

On Wednesday, May 27, Booth's 2002 Dodge pickup was located about a fourth of a mile south of the low water crossing on CR 143.

His body was found one and a half miles downstream from his truck by a DPS helicopter.
