A 23-year-old Waco man is being held in the McLennan County Jail, accused of setting a fire at Providence Hospital.
Alfonso Allen is facing arson charges after investigators say he went to Providence Health Center Emergency Room about 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
At some point, Allen slipped away from hospital personnel, entered a closet, where he is accused of placing flammable materials in a container and setting it on fire.
The fire was noticed a very short time later and extinguished before it could cause much damage. Allen was caught and held at the scene.
