Track And Field Set For Big 12 Outdoor Championships
Bears travel to Ames, Iowa, for 19th-annual conference meet.
WACO, Texas – Baylor returns a total of 22 All-Big 12 performers to the 2015 Big 12 Outdoor Championships hosted by Iowa State at the Cyclone Sports Complex in Ames, Iowa, Friday through Sunday.

STORYLINES
Heading into the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, the Bears have 32 event marks among the top eight in the conference. The list includes five league-leading marks.

On the men's side, BU?leads the conference in three events. Sophomore sensation Trayvon Bromell has the fastest 100 (9.90) and 200-meter (20.19) times in the conference. Meanwhile, Felix Obi has the best triple jump mark in the league at 53-3.5 [16.24m].

Baylor's women own two league-best marks. Senior Tiffani McReynolds has the best 100-hurdle time in the Big 12 at 12.75, while Maggie Montoya (15:44.52) is tops in the 5,000-meter run. The Lady Bears also have six marks that are second-best in the Big 12.

Nationally as a team, the Bears are ranked No. 10, while the women are No. 12. Currently, the men would have 12 entries (10 individual & two relays) into the NCAA?West Preliminary Championships, while the women have 20 marks in the region's top 48 with (19 individual and one relay).

As a team, Baylor has combined to win a total of 37 individual events during the outdoor season. The BU?women have claimed 18 event titles, while the men have won 19.

Baylor will be without the services of former All-Big 12 performers Ashley Fields, Taije Jordan and Alex Reece, who have been limited this outdoor season due to injury.

Last season, the BU?women were second totaling a program-record 113.5 points. Meanwhile, the Baylor men's team had three event champions to help it score 93 points and take fourth overall. In total, Baylor had 34 competitors earn 54 All-Big 12 honors during the meet with 18 women tallying 30 honors and 16 men taking home 24 accolades. The women also had three event champions to give the program a combined six, which were its most since having seven in 1998.
