A 39-year-old Waco man has been arrested on charges of intoxication assault after a bicyclist was hit by a car Tuesday night.
Waco PD officers were called to the 2700 block of Industrial about 9:40 p.m. for a wreck. Responding officers found a 19-year-old male bicyclist who had been westbound on Industrial, when he was hit by a black Chevy Impala driven by Jimmy Hadnot Jr.
The victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest with what were described as "significant" injuries to his head, shoulder, arm, knees, and legs.
Following the investigation on scene, which determined the driver was intoxicated, Hadnot Jr. was taken into custody and taken to the McLennan County Jail.
