Two men are facing a litany of drug charges after an officer stopped their vehicle early Monday morning after nearly being hit by the vehicle.
Waco PD Sgt. Patrick Swanton reports an officers was on patrol about 3:45 a.m. on S. New Rd., when he noticed a car coming toward him that crossed the center traffic lane and into oncoming traffic.
The officer managed to avoid the vehicle, before turning around and stopping the vehicle. He determined the driver and the passenger were intoxicated.
During the search of the car, officers recovered 325 grams of cocaine, 150 grams of meth, 20 grams of marijuana, along with 13 different types of prescription drugs in varying amounts.
Donasiano Diaz Garcia and John Anthony Rivera were both transported to the McLennan County Jail.
