FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - Military jurors have resumed their deliberations in the trial of the soldier accused in the Fort Hood shooting rampage.
The jury went back to deliberating Friday morning. Maj. Nidal Hasan is accused of killing 13 people and wounding more than 30 others at the Texas military base in November 2009.
Jurors got the case Thursday afternoon. They deliberated for about three hours before asking if they could review testimony from the Fort Hood police officer who shot the gunman and ended the rampage. The judge agreed, then dismissed jurors for the night.
Jurors heard testimony from nearly 90 witnesses, many of whom identified Hasan as the gunman.
Hasan is acting as his own attorney but has put up virtually no defense.
If convicted, Hasan could face the death penalty.
