WACO, Texas (AP) - The memorial service for first responders killed in the West plant explosion has concluded after a bagpiper's rendition of "Amazing Grace."

Family members were seen holding each other and crying as the notes of the hymn rang out Thursday. Thousands of people filled the basketball arena at Baylor University to honor the 10 first responders and two others who helped before last week's explosion at West Fertilizer.

Family members were presented with folded American flags and helmets. A roll call of the names of the dead was taken.

President Barack Obama, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. John Cornyn spoke at the service.
