WACO, TX — We have now completed our first week of high school football, and it is time to VOTE for our Week One Primetime Performer!

In no particular order:

  • Mason Brandenburg (QB, Clifton): Brandenburg jumped out to a hot start against Valley Mills Friday night. He completed 15-18 passes for three touchdowns in Clifton's 35-0 win. Brandenburg also ran five times for 56 yards and an additional touchdown.
  • Jace Robinson (QB, Rockdale): Robinson had a day in his season opener, completing 13-22 for 411 yards and four touchdowns. Robinson had several touchdowns of more than 70 yards to lead Rockdale to a 48-24 win.
  • Roddrell Freeman (RB, Mart): Freeman did not throw the ball like the others on this list. All he did was run for 121 yards on only ten carries. The Mart star scored three touchdowns in a rout of Top-25 opponent Bosqueville.
