COLLEGE STATION, TX — Texas A&M alumni & former linebacker, Steven Solari, has passed on Dec 2. at 49 years old, the Solari family shared on Facebook.

A true Aggie, Solari stayed active in the A&M program and local community for decades past his time on the field. An inspiration to many, Solari grew a strong following on his Facebook and TexAgs.com; often sharing his personal wisdom and mentality towards perseverance.

“In keeping with his generous spirit, Steven registered to be an organ donor in 2011,” the Solari family wrote.

“Although we have lost Steven as we know and love him, his gift will allow him to live through many who are in need of a life-saving transplant. While we mourn, we also celebrate knowing that Steven will continue to help others.” the statement reads.

The family also shared Steven's private Mass will be streamed live online. Details about the date and time are still to come later on.

“Thank you for the prayers and incredible outpouring of love for Steven and our family,” his family wrote. “We ask that you continue to pray for us as we navigate this difficult time.”

In Steven Solari's last Facebook post on Nov. 23, he wrote in part:

“How many sunrises do I have left? Yesterday, today and tomorrow … the blueprint will always be the same … pray for what I have now (including the people) and be grateful for everything always.”

The family has set up a college fund for his children, Jack and Cate, available here.
