Aggie softball head to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, MO — Texas A&M Softball hits the road for a three-game series against the Mizzou Tigers beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

All games can be seen on SEC Network +, with Friday’s contest scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start while game three is slated for a 12 p.m. start on Saturday. Ben Arnet (play-by-play) and Ashley Moore (analyst) are on call for Thursday’s match-up, as Kristen Mack (analyst) steps in for Friday’s game and Nate Gatter (play-by-play) and Kristen Mack (analyst) finish the weekend off with Saturday’s contest.

For the season, Texas A&M (25-18, 3-12 SEC) is led offensively by Kelbi Fortenberry and Payton McBride, who top the team with a .348 and .364 batting averages, respectively. Fortenberry leads the Aggies in multiple categories, including runs (29), hits (49), total bases (60) and stolen bases (10).

Dani Elder, who has reached base in six straight games, leads the team in SEC play with a .360 batting average. Baylee Klingler is batting .348 against SEC pitchers with three home runs and 11 RBI.

In the circle, Kendall Potts paces the pitching staff with 10 wins. McBride has tallied eight victories as Kayla Poynter has added four and Hannah Mayo has recorded three.

Missouri enters with a 24-18 (7-8 SEC) record and are led offensively by Jazmyn Rollins and Brooke Wilmes who are batting .370 and .321, respectively. Sophomore Kimberly Wert leads the Tigers in multiple categories including, home runs (15), RBI (41) and total bases (88). Madi Norman holds a 11-7 ledger with a 2.95 ERA.
