COLLEGE STATION, TX — Texas A&M Softball dropped game two against No. 4 Alabama, 11-1, in five innings Saturday at Davis Diamond.

The Crimson Tide (33-0, 5-0 SEC) plated four runs in the first before extending their lead to 10-0 in the third, highlighted by a Bailey Hemphill grand slam.

Texas A&M’s (17-13, 1-7 SEC) lone run came in the fourth when Dani Elder doubled to left and touched home on a Payton McBride single up the middle.

Kendall Potts suffered the loss after throwing the first 2.2 innings and giving up three hits, nine runs and eight walks, while fanning two. Payton McBride recorded one strikeout and allowed two hits and one run against the four batters she faced. Hannah Mayo closed out the game and allowed three walks and one run.

Sarah Cornell earned her 12th win of the season as she allowed one run on four hits, two walks with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Krystal Goodman closed out the game and allowed one hit in 0.2 innings of work.
