COLLEGE STATION, TX — Texas A&M Equestrian’s Alex Albright was named the Southeastern Conference’s February Horsemanship Rider of the Month, the conference office announced Thursday.

This marks the second time Albright has been named a SEC Rider of the Month as she earned the award in September.

The sophomore tallied four wins in February with one Most Outstanding Player honor. The Lockport, Ill., native began the month with a 72.5-66 victory over SMU’s Aubrey Alderman prior to defeating Georgia’s Sara Lewis, 76-72.5.

She continued her dominant month with a nine-point triumph over UC Davis’ Olivia Russell and concluded a 76.5-74 victory over South Carolina’s Caroline Gute, matching her season high.

Albright and the Aggies square off against No. 1 Auburn Friday at 11 a.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. Admission to the meet is free.
